Terms and Conditions

REMINDERS:

  1. DONSOL ECO TOUR, TICAO ISLAND RESORT, and FUN DIVE ASIA are all under the DIVE CENTRAL. Each entity can be contacted separately or can be contacted through the general email info@divecentralasia.com.
  2. DIVE CENTRAL encourages you to review the TOUR INCLUSIONS and SUGGESTED ITINERARY. For questions or changes, please contact your account representative or contact us at info@divecentralasia.com.
  3. DIVE CENTRAL encourages you to read and understand the TERMS AND CONDITIONS. For clarification, your contact your account representative or contact us at info@divecentralasia.com.
  4. Banks and PayPal may have transactional charges. DIVE CENTRAL does not cover these charges. The actual amount received will be the amount reflected as actual payment once the CONFIRMATION NOTICE is sent.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  1. Booking Confirmation

    1. A STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT will be issued once the guest states a definite date of visit and provides the total number of visiting guests. The STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT indicates that a reservation was made, but does not assure the guest of a confirmed booking. A booking is only considered confirmed once payment has been received.
    2. Once payment has been received, a CONFIRMATION NOTICE will be issued to the guest. This CONFIRMATION NOTICE should be presented to DIVE CENTRAL staff when requested.
    3. Room reservations will hold for 7 CALENDAR DAYS from the date of the issuance of the STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT, unless otherwise stated. If no payment is received by option date, DIVE CENTRAL reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
    4. Provided that a CONFIRMATION NOTICE has NOT been issued, prices are subject to change without prior notice.
    5. A CONFIRMATION NOTICE will be issued upon payment confirmation. Bank/wire transfers take 4 to 5 business days for bank clearance, PayPal and Credit Card payments take 2 to 4 business days for verification.
  2. Payment method

    1. 50% of payment is needed to CONFIRM the booking.
    2. 100% of payment must be received at least 15 BUSINESS DAYS prior to the arrival of the guests, unless otherwise stated.
    3. DIVE CENTRAL does not cover for any transactional charges. Actual amount received by Donsol Eco Tour will be reflected as the actual payment received.
    4. Guests have the right to request for the bank or PayPal, or Credit Card (Mastercard and VISA only). Please inform DIVE CENTRAL once payment has been made.

      Please request for an Authorization Form. Authorization Form must be completed and returned to DIVE CENTRAL for bank processing for credit card payments.
  3. Cancellation

    1. For Full Cancellations

      A full cancellation is defined as a cancellation of an entire group.

      If the cancellation is made at least 15 CALENDAR DAYS from the date of arrival, the guest will still have the option to:

      1. Rebook the package within one (1) calendar year from the original expected date of arrival. The guest will be required to pay any cancellation charges incurred by DIVE CENTRAL. Any price increases on the new booking date (compared to the original booking date) will also have to be shouldered by the guests.
      2. Refund of 75% of the original package price. Transactional charges will NOT be covered by DIVE CENTRAL.

      If the cancellation is made 7 or less CALENDAR DAYS from the date of arrival, the 50% down payment will no longer be refundable.

    2. For Cancellations of Guests in a Group

      A full refund for cancelled guests in a group will be given provided that the total number of actual paying guests does not fall below the minimum guaranteed number of guests.

      Should the number of paying guests fall below the minimum guaranteed number of guests, a group size change price adjustments will have to paid for. Computing for this change (on a per person basis) is shown below (please see the formula for VARIANCE).

      The new package price per person in a group size that failed to meet the minimum number of guaranteed guests can be computed by adding the VARIANCE (please see the formula for VARIANCE) to the original per person package price.

      The computation for the variance can be found below:

      VARIANCE = ((package price per person) x (minimum guarantee group size)) / (actual number of paying guests)
    3. For Cancellations Due to Force Majeure and Fortuitous Events

      Any cancellation due to force majeure or fortuitous events such as a bad weather.

      Guests will have the option to:

      1. Rebook the package with no price changes within one (1) calendar year from the original expected date of arrival.
      2. Refund of 80% of the original package price. Any transactional charges for the refund (i.e. bank charges) will be shouldered by DIVE CENTRAL.

        In instances where the guests are in area (i.e. Donsol, Ticao, etc.) and are unable to do activities due to force majeure or fortuitous events such as a bad weather, DIVE CENTRAL can guarantee a reimbursement of at least 80% of the activity cost. Any added reimbursement will be upon the discretion of the situation and the assessment of DIVE CENTRAL.

  4. Itenerary and Hotel Arrangements
    1. A suggested itinerary is provided. The guest can request for itinerary changes before booking confirmation. If the guest wishes to change the suggested itinerary after the CONFIRMATION NOTICE has been issued, the guest must inform DIVE CENTRAL of itinerary changes AT LEAST 24 hours prior to the schedule being revised.
    2. DIVE CENTRAL reserves the right to change the travel itinerary without notice if safety, weather or other conditions beyond the control of DIVE CENTRAL require that such changes be made.
    3. For hotel/resort accommodations, the standard check-in time is 2:00 PM and the standard check-out time is 12:00 PM. Provided that there is ample room availability at the hotel/resort, DIVE CENTRAL will arrange for early check-in or late check-out. DIVE CENTRAL’s basis for early check-in or late check-out requests is the itinerary provided on the CONFIRMATION NOTICE.
  5. Guarantees and Liabilities
    1. DIVE CENTRAL does NOT guarantee the presence of Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, or Fireflies during the guests visit. DIVE CENTRAL will not be liable for the missing presence of Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, or Fireflies. It is understood that the Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, or Fireflies are wild animals and are beyond the control of DIVE CENTRAL. DIVE CENTRAL, however, will advice the guest on the probability of viewing the Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, or Fireflies during their visit.
    2. Should a booked activity be cancelled due to force majeure or a fortuitous event such as bad weather, DIVE CENTRAL can guarantee a reimbursement of at least 80% of the activity cost. Any added reimbursement will be upon the discretion of the situation and the assessment of DIVE CENTRAL.
    3. Guests are advised to be responsible for the safe keeping of their personal belongings and valuables. DIVE CENTRAL will NOT be liable for loss or damage of personal belongings and valuables. DIVE CENTRAL has safety measures and precautions in place to contribute to the safety of the guests personal belongings and valuables, but the responsibility of safety lies on the guests.
    4. DIVE CENTRAL is responsible for ensuring the smooth arrangement of the guests’ travel needs, activity requirements, and accommodations as stated on the Confirmation Notice.
  6. Saftey Clauses
    1. To ensure peace of mind while on vacation, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. DIVE CENTRAL will NOT be responsible for any injuries, accidents, or death.
    2. Travel Insurance can be purchased through DIVE CENTRAL. Please contact your account representative of info@divecentralasia.com or contact us for more information.
    3. Please be informed that NO FLYING AFTER DIVING.  We remind of a MINIMUM 18 HOURS surface interval after the final dive before flying.
